The Finest Traditional Tuscan Trattoria in Massarosa

In the early 1960s, the Cecchi family from Florence decided to open this establishment on Via Sarzanese, halfway between Monte Quiesa and the sea. During the inauguration, much admiration was garnered for a shelving unit entirely covered in pine bark: Luigi Cecchi and his wife Giuseppina Cupisti then decided that this would be the name of their trattoria. La Corteccia, renovated a few years ago, is now managed by the son of the founders, Graziano Cecchi. It is a trattoria with a modern structure but traditional, rustic Tuscan style. In addition to the indoor dining areas, it offers customers a summer veranda with a garden. The establishment also provides ample parking.

A Restaurant Loyal to Tradition

The restaurant and trattoria in Massarosa remain faithful to the authentic tradition of Lucca and Tuscan culinary art in preparing their dishes. Loyalty is a deeply cherished theme in the restaurant. The staff tirelessly strive day after day to offer excellent dishes and impeccable service, satisfying and building loyalty among their customers.

It is no coincidence that the restaurant's slogan is "It is easier to be faithful to a restaurant than to a woman."

We like to think that betraying good food and the truest culinary art is impossible. With over fifty years of activity, the trattoria continues to be a reference point for all lovers of local traditional recipes, for those who enjoy sitting at the table and embarking on a journey of tastes, aromas, and flavors that have always made Tuscan cuisine a true excellence.
